Privacy policy
What this site collects about you: very little. Last updated Oct 26, 2026.
SETTLED. is run by Alykhan Virani, who is responsible for the personal information described here.
Reading the site
The site has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
Two outside services see basic technical details when you visit, because that is how web pages are delivered:
- Cloudflare hosts the site. Like any web host, it processes your IP address and browser details to serve pages and to protect the site from attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces. Your browser downloads them from Google's servers, which receive your IP address and browser details in the process. See Google's privacy policy.
I don't run analytics and don't keep visitor logs.
Submitting a claim
The submission form stores the link you send, your note, and the time. To stop spam, your IP address is used to limit how many submissions one connection can send; it is held for at most one hour for that purpose and is not saved with your submission.
Sending a message
The contact form stores your message, the topic, the time, and the name and email address if you give them. I use your email only to reply to you. Your IP address is used for spam limits in the same way as above.
Where it's kept, and who sees it
Submissions and messages are stored in Cloudflare's database service. A copy of each is sent to me as a phone notification through Pushover. Nobody else sees them. I don't sell, rent or share personal information, and I don't use it for marketing.
I keep submissions and messages for as long as I need them to check claims and answer people, and delete them on request.
People and wallets written about
Pages on this site analyze public posts and public blockchain wallet activity. Those records are public by design; I use them to check public claims. If a page is about you and you think it's wrong or unfair, you can reply through the contact page.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete any personal information you've sent me, and you can withdraw consent to my keeping it. Use the contact form and choose "A privacy request". I'll answer within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
